
Arnold considers himself fortunate be able to serve as a member of the Kahnawake Fire Brigade as he is in his 46th year. Starting as a volunteer, Arnold moved up the ranks as a Firefighter, Paramedic, Lieutenant, Assistant Fire Chief and eventually Fire Chief for 17 years. He is an instructor with the Quebec Fire Academy, The Justice Institute of BC and the Canadian Red Cross. In 2009 he joined the Mohawk Council of Kahnawake Public Safety Division where he recently retired as Director of Public Safety. He has been active with the Aboriginal Firefighters Association of Canada (AFAC) since its inception. He is currently part of the National Indigenous Fire Service Council (NIFSC) as the Indigenous Fire Marshal for Canada and Interim Chief Executive Officer.
