5th ANNUAL FLOOD AND WILDLAND FIRE SYMPOSIUM

Working Together to Share Knowledge and Strengthen Communities

November 3–5, 2026
Best Western Plus Nor’Wester Hotel & Conference Centre
Thunder Bay, Ontario

Hosted by the Ministry of Emergency Preparedness and Response, the Rising Together 2026 Flood and Wildland Fire Symposium will bring together First Nations, Indigenous Emergency Management Service Providers, co-hosting partners, and emergency management professionals from across Ontario.

Join us for three days of shared learning, practical workshops, meaningful conversations, and opportunities to build relationships. Delegates will exchange knowledge, reflect on recent emergency experiences, and explore practical approaches to strengthening preparedness, coordination, and community support.

Together, we will strengthen connections and help build more prepared and resilient communities before, during, and after emergencies.
